Travel Teams
Our Travel program consists of Boys & Girls teams from U9-U19 age groups competing across all levels of the WYSL (Westchester Youth Soccer League), with some of our more advanced teams competing in the WYSL Premier level, Westchester Cup competitions and NYCSL (New York Club Soccer League - NY State Cup competitions).
Our U9-U10 teams are classed as ‘Travel Development’ as US Soccer mandates across all leagues scores and standings are not kept at these ages as the focus within the 7v7 game has to be player development, over trying to win. From U11+ our teams will then enter full travel leagues and tournaments which are competitive with standings. All Travel U9-U19 teams practice 2x per week with games on a weekend. All practice and games schedules are uploaded into individual Team Sports Engine apps.
Our Travel teams are a Fall and Spring season commitment due to the development requirements within the sport of soccer, and we also provide optional additional opportunities for players throughout the winter season training indoors with Futsal which is a specialized version of the sport which is extremely beneficial for technical skill development. We are proud to enter into several local tournaments throughout the season across all our teams, appropriate to their ability level and we host our Annual Labor Day Tournament.
JJFC Curriculum
All teams are JJFC are developed through a spiral curriculum designed to consolidate and revisit key learning messages throughout each Soccer Season, specific to each individual player and team within our Academy, Development Academy and Travel/High-School programs. Our focus is developing lifelong learning and love for sport (soccer) by developing 'Individuals within the Collective'.
Our methodology is underpinned by years of research and best practice from around the world, aligned with key principles of coaching - written and implemented by our Club Director of Coaching
